Last weekend we got to see our friends Dan and Bethan in Louisville, and go to the first kick-off event for the Derby. It's called Thunder Over Louisville, and was pretty much an enormous tailgating party downtown leading up to a fireworks and air show. And apparently, we were REALLY excited about the fireworks...
On a side note, we ended up spending the day with our friend John that we met in London! We went to college with him and met when we studied over there several years ago, and I haven't seen him since, so it was great to catch up with him. So it was a little "London reunion" of sorts, when you throw in Dan and Ted. So there's a picture of the highly cultured and well-educated chaps, drinking beer and getting farmer's tans ;)
It was nice to get outside for a few days, especially with the weekend I'm facing (looks like I'll be stuck in the office for way too many hours this weekend..uuugghhhhh...On the bright side, "session" is almost over and then my schedule is more than relaxed for eight whole months! Miss you all!!
